Larissa Beason, PA-C

Larissa Beason is originally from Brazil and has loved working with children from a young age. Before becoming a physician assistant, she worked as a preschool teacher and later as a medical assistant in pediatric and dermatology offices. She has also volunteered with newborns, children with developmental challenges, and underserved communities.

Larissa earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Shenandoah University. She is board-certified through the NCCPA and is a member of the Society of Physician Assistants in Pediatrics. During PA school, she continued serving underserved communities through a medical service trip to Nicaragua. She speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish and enjoys building meaningful relationships with families from diverse backgrounds. As a mother, she understands how important it is for families to feel supported and heard. Her professional interests include early childhood development and pediatric dermatology.

Larissa lives in Alexandria with her husband and their two children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, learning to play tennis, listening to audiobooks, and traveling.
