Sherry Weinstein, C.P.N.P.
Sherry is originally from New Jersey, but spent most of her adult years in Atlanta, GA. She began her nursing career as a Certified School and Public Health Nurse, working at a local Health Department outside of Atlanta. She received her Master’s in Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist degree from Emory University, Atlanta, GA in 1993. After becoming a PNP, Sherry continued her passion for school health by implementing a rural school-based Primary Care Nursing Center for the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA. While at UVA, Sherry also served as an Instructor in Nursing and preceptor for Pediatric Nurse Practitioner students. She later moved back to Atlanta and spent ten years working in a large pediatric practice as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Coordinator. Sherry is Board Certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She is an active member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. In 2008, Sherry once again relocated to Virginia and joined Pediatric Associates of Alexandria in 2011. In her free time, Sherry enjoys quilting and spending time with her two children and four young grandchildren.
